Have you ever made a lightbox????

Sherilyn Palmer - Sunday, May 11, 2008

Okay well I had a little project on this week - a lightbox!  I can't believe I haven't done this earlier.  It took a bit of fiddling around and trying different things but I am stoked with the results.

i made mine by following the following instructions at:

 http://www.studiolighting.net/homemade-light-box-for-product-photography/

It is American for all you aussies out there but I managed to work things out such as the best  type of light bulbs to get and settings to use on my camera to get a satisfactory result.

A few things to note: Lightbulbs I tried a couple different types of lightbulbs but the best ones I found were 100watt bulbs that gave off a cool white light Camera Settings This is where i must say I fiddled for ages to work out what was best for my camera.  I used a manual setting with the flash and different shutter speeds just depending on what I was doing....  So here is my version of the photobox and the results that I got.  If anyone has any questions then please contact me I am only too happy to help out as this saves me a heap of time fiddling with photoshop on the computer that is for sure.
